Once she was stateside, the law stipulated that she had 90 days in which to marry David.

At the end of the day, David and Annie rely on each other for moral support.
“Sometimes people are just so mean, it’s okay,” Annie said.
“You know, we have each other,” David added.

There are times, however, when the insults get personal.
“When I look back in the days when she first met me …
I’m younger than her,” she said.

“She don’t know who I am.
She don’t know what intention I have with her father.”
