On May 10, NBC announced that it will not host the Golden Globes in 2022 (viaDeadline).
NBC said, “We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform.
As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes.
Right before the 2021 award show, theLos Angeles Timesrevealed that the group has no Black members.
However, critics of the organization do not believe they are doing enough (viaThe Hollywood Reporter).
PerDeadline, the organization GLAAD also issued a statement.
There is a lack of transparency and accountability which still has yet to be addressed.”
