Kathy Griffinis sharing some very private details about her life.
“I’ve got to tell you guys something.

I’m about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed,” Griffin tweeted.
“Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!”
Griffin also shared her prognosis with fans.

“The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung.
Hopefully, no chemo or radiation after this and I should have normal function with my breathing.
I should be up and running around as usual in a month or less.
During the interview, she’ll also open up about her battle with mental health and substance abuse.

“The detox was nasty.
I mean, it was [going on for] months,” she said.
“I was so unsteady.
It was crazy,” she admitted.

It’s about time,” she concluded.
