Britney Spearsis still battling herfather Jamie Spearsover her conservatorship.
Britney was placed under the conservatorship back in 2008 after she suffered a very public breakdown.
In 2019, Jamie requested to have Britney’s conservatorship extended to Florida, Louisiana, and Hawaii.
In July 2020, Britney’s older brother, Bryan Spears, spoke out about his sister’s conservatorship.
Bryan stated, “She’s always wanted to get out of it.
It’s very frustrating to have.
She’s wanted to get out of it for quite some time.”
By November 2020, Britney took a stand when she asked that Jamie be removed from her conservatorship.
However, that request was denied by the court.
In March, Britney asked that Montgomery be named her permanent conservator.
Britney’s lawyer reportedly asked for the hearing specifically to address the conservator case.
“My client asked that it be done on expedited basis.”
As of writing, no additional details have been released.
Jamie Spears has stated through his own attorney that he wishes for the conservatorship to come to an end.
“Whether or not there is an end to the conservatorship really depends on Britney.
If she wants to end her conservatorship, she can file a petition to end it.”
